The Troublemaker

I put some posts in draft mode until I see what happens Wednesday.

Too much of a troublemaker, I am. Now to the task of keeping my silly little ego in check...

I've never seen you delete a post before.

No yelling whatsoever. It just became much more trouble than it's worth. (And I have pulled blog posts in the past, but usually before many people saw them.)

I got an ego, whined about a story being pulled (which happens in newsrooms all the time for various reasons; it wasn't a big conspiracy theory as my ominous and self-important post seemed to allow room for interpretation of) and I talked about what happened in the newsroom. That's totally unacceptable behavior, bottom line. No one had to sit me down and explain it to me. Realizing I let my ego get the best of me and I embarrassed the people I work with and for was enough.

I did get a giggle out of that arrogant twit professor "grading" your boss' writing.

What happened to that "oppertunistic bitch" that we have grown so fond of?

As soon as Purcell even hinted at what we're going to put out this week, all these outside circuits started going haywire.

It makes me wonder what the heck we're stumbling into. We're just a little ol' weekly newspaper. I think it's hilarious the way people get all worked up about Courier.

So when do you guys hope to have your new and improved website back up?

After the new year.

Seriously -- hit me from a yahoo or hotmail e-mail address (it'll let you stay anonymous). It'll let people e-mail in tips to you, as well.

Not just yet ready to do that Jackie.
Hey, why did you enable comment moderation? You'd probably get more hits and definitely more comments if you open it up like on my blog.

Jim Purcell stopped by my blog; it was very nice of him to do so and I appreciated his comments.
Let him know that when he posts (which he can do anytime), he doesn't have to use "anonymous" and sign his name at the bottom. He can click "other", then type his name in the box. There's a box for "website" where he can put Courier's URL, then interested people can log onto your website, once it's running again.
Gotta get up to the Bayshore so I can pick up a Courier; I want to see the ELEC article.

1) I enabled the comment moderation to put a few more steps between thought and action. I need a few more filters for myself these days.

2) Purcell's not much of a computer guy, but I'll pass along the message.

I hope you like the article when you get a chance to read it. There was a lot of number crunching involved, which makes the over-all content pretty dry except for nerds like me. It's a look at Sen. Lynch's involvement in the area. I think it treats D's and R's equally.

I checked a couple of Greater Media's papers and found nothing like Greg Bean said he would write. Did you find anything?

He decided not to write about it. I don't know if it's been fully ruled out for the future, but I guess it's wait and see.
