In Blogs Heard 'Round the Bayshore...

No more anonymous comments. Abe has thrown his hands up at the Howell-anche and is only allowing those who sign-up for a Blogger.com name to post comments on his site, much to the chagrin of those Monmouth Republican committee members who have made Abe's page their homepage and follow the comment-posting fray.

William Seward has endorsed Anna Little for freeholder.

...and Monmouth Democrats are still without pseudonymous blogs of dead Democrat standard-bearers.

The Howell edition of the Jerry Springer Show was just getting way out of hand. Certain supporters of a certain freeholder candidate simply crossed the line and it had to stop. I would hope that county committee members who saw the comments took note and asked themselves "Do I really want to see this in Freehold?", and vote accordingly.

Well, they do have a living Democrat standard-bearer: Jim Purcell.;-Þ
Of course, in keeping with the Civil War era that seems to be the trend in the GOP (Seward, Stanton and yours truly), there's always Steve Douglass (Frederick Douglass was a Republican.), George McClellan, John Breckinridge, Jimmy Buchanan, Roger Taney or Jeff Davis.
